Trans Day of Visibility
Celebrates trans and non-binary people and raises awareness of the discrimination they still face. Founded in 2009 by Rachel Crandall-Crocker.

International Asexuality Day
Raises awareness of asexuality, a spectrum of experiencing little or no sexual attraction, and celebrates ace and aro people.
- April 26
Lesbian Visibility Day
A day to make lesbian, sapphic and wlw lives, history and achievements visible, and to stand against invisibility and erasure.
- May 17
IDAHOBIT
International Day Against Homophobia, Biphobia, Interphobia and Transphobia. It marks 17 May 1990, when the WHO removed homosexuality from its list of diseases.

Harvey Milk Day
Honors Harvey Milk, one of the first openly gay elected officials in the US, on his birthday. A day for standing up and being visible in your community.

Pansexual & Panromantic Awareness Day
Celebrates people who are attracted to others regardless of gender, and clears up common myths about pansexuality.

Start of Pride Month
June is Pride Month: a month of parades, parties, protest and remembrance, held in honor of the Stonewall uprising.

Stonewall Anniversary
On 28 June 1969 queer and trans people, many of them people of color, fought back against a police raid at the Stonewall Inn in New York. Pride marches, including Germany's CSDs, grew out of it.

International Non-Binary People's Day
Celebrates people whose gender is neither exclusively male nor female. It falls halfway between International Women's Day and International Men's Day.

International Drag Day
Celebrates drag as an art form with a long queer history, and the performers who keep it alive.

Bi Visibility Day
Also called Celebrate Bisexuality Day. Celebrates bi+ people and calls out biphobia and bi erasure, including inside the queer community.
- October 11
Coming Out Day
Started in 1988 to encourage visibility and openness. Coming out is personal and never an obligation; the day is also for allies and for people who aren't out.
- October 15
Spirit Day
Wear purple to show support for queer youth and to stand against bullying. Started in 2010 after several young LGBTQ+ people died by suicide. Observed on the third Thursday of October.
- October 21
International Pronouns Day
Encourages everyone to share and respect pronouns, so that no one has to be misgendered. Observed on the third Wednesday of October.
- October 26
Intersex Awareness Day
Marks the first public intersex protest in Boston in 1996. Raises awareness of intersex people and of medically unnecessary surgeries on children.
- November 8
Intersex Day of Solidarity
Also called Intersex Day of Remembrance, observed on the birthday of Herculine Barbin. A day to stand in solidarity with intersex people and their rights.
- November 20
Trans Day of Remembrance
Remembers trans and gender-diverse people killed by transphobic violence and draws attention to the violence that continues. Started in 1999.
- December 1
World AIDS Day
Remembers those lost to AIDS, supports people living with HIV, and fights stigma. Today HIV is treatable, and with treatment it is not transmitted sexually.
- December 8
Pansexual Visibility Day
Celebrates pan+ people and asks for their visibility and recognition, in the queer community and beyond.
Dates are for the current year. Week-long observances such as Ace Week or Lesbian Visibility Week are not listed because they have no single day.
